The Smoke of Satan blows through the Church of God
After the flames, what might emerge from the ashes?
Lest we forget, it was a mere four years ago we found ourselves in the throes of the dystopian Covid lockdown. In March of 2020, my teens hastily returned from their respective colleges to finish their semesters online. In April, we were still sequestered, albeit having playdates with our small circles. By May, we were out and about, and in June, I decided we would take a family vacation to visit Mount Rushmore (lest it be defaced), Yellowstone, and the Grand Tetons.
Driving through South Dakota, where you can go miles and hours without seeing another human being, was somewhere between surreal and apocalyptic. Nonetheless, there was never a better time to enjoy the great outdoors. Yellowstone, the Disney of National Parks, was practically abandoned as hordes of international tourist buses were conspicuously absent.
Observing the contradictions between down-to-earth common sense and ivory tower science, I suspected the whole situation was the product of a narrative, a worldwide psyop, and an artificial construct. Why were people hiking in solitude wearing masks? Why were decades-old safe treatments maligned? When Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò issued his prophetic open letter to President Trump in June of 2020, my burgeoning suspicions were confirmed.
To those still unfamiliar with Archbishop Viganò, a brief introduction: During Pope Benedict’s pontificate, he was one of the principal financial reformers of the Vatican, uncovering and exposing gross abuses and disreputable financial manipulations. He was on the cusp of that investigation when he was transferred to the United States as the Apostolic Nuncio from 2011-2016. In equivalent terms, this appointment would be considered the Vatican’s US Ambassador. In this capacity, he was instrumental in accusing the Vatican of covering up the heinous sexual crimes of the now-defrocked Cardinal Theodore McCarrick. McCarrick was extremely powerful not only within the Catholic Church (cardinals are the highest-ranked clergy except for the Pope) but also within the D.C. political scene.
There is much more to tell about Archbishop Viganò’s impressive background, but I mention these salient points to underline that Viganò has navigated the highest circles of power at a global level. Hence, his opinions are not to be taken lightly.
Thus, the Invisible Enemy, whom good rulers fight against in public affairs, is also fought against by good shepherds in the ecclesiastical sphere.
Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò
At present, Archbishop Viganò has been summoned to the Vatican, largely due to his measured but clear stance against the policies that Bergoglio, the current pope, has enacted, supported, or enabled. These practices go against centuries of doctrine and dogma of the Catholic Church, practices that the devout find abhorrent and contradictory to their known tenets of faith.
Archbishop Viganò has merely pointed out that the errors of the Second Vatican Council have come to full fruition and threaten to dismantle the entire Catholic Church. His thinly veiled critique of the values embodied by Francis’ pontificate—the New World Order, which espouses globalism, moral relativism, and all kinds of heresies—has now culminated in a summons to an extrajudicial hearing or, in practical terms, an expedited trial accusing him of being a schismatic (divider of the Church). In Catholic ecclesiastical circles, this is a very grave accusation.
While going into the finer details of what Archbishop Viganò has protested and expounded is not the purpose of this essay, his premise is obvious to believers: this is a battle between good and evil, between light and darkness, between the existing power structure and those who dare challenge it.
Moreover, this is not a battle confined to the Catholic Church. I believe we are seeing the fruits of apostasy all over Christendom, as priests, pastors, clergy, and apostles have failed to shepherd their flock and abdicated their sacred duties in favor of the prosperity gospel. How else can one explain the behavior, corruption, and absolute lack of conscience displayed among our political establishment? The same establishment that enthusiastically sought the evangelical vote?
Like Trump, Archbishop Viganò will face a sham trial defending against fabricated charges, conducted not by the Deep State but by agents of the Deep Church. But, like Trump, he may very well prove to be a modern-day martyr who will hopefully awaken those stewards who have fallen asleep, failed to teach, and, by their very actions, led their flock astray.
Let us pray for this holy man, who has closely followed our Lord Christ’s footsteps on this earth. May Archbishop Viganò be the much-needed catalyst to rectify the errors of the Catholic Church and, thereafter, all Christian denominations culpable of the current apostasy plaguing the body of Christ. When mankind lacks conscience and those in positions of spiritual authority fail to reveal it, people will only live for the present moment, with disregard for our brethren and our progeny, thus ushering in the demise of Western civilization as we know it.
Father in Heaven
Bless your servant, Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, and all those who fight this spiritual battle with health, fortitude of spirit, and infinite peace. Grant them the courage to stand firm in the face of adversity and the wisdom to discern Your will in all things.
Release your angelic host to battle the powers and principalities of this earthly realm, for light will always triumph over darkness and shadows. May all deception be exposed and brought to divine justice and accountability, and may truth and righteousness prevail.
Forgive our sins of omission and commission. Awaken us from this apostasy within the Church, and may your pastors, apostles, and teachers hold their spiritual duties sacred. Inspire them to lead with integrity and to shepherd their flocks with unwavering faith.
Strengthen our resolve to uphold Your commandments and to live as faithful witnesses to Your love and grace. Let Your Holy Spirit guide us in all our endeavors, that we may be instruments of Your peace and bearers of Your light in this world.
We ask this in the name of our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever.
Amen

Well written and spot on!! We recently changed Church's as we realized as the Pastor of the one we'd been attending was more interested in being liked, growing the congregation, raising funds, and making everyone feel good. We gave him and the Church Elders Eric Metaxis's book - A Letter to the American Church as it somewhat lays out what's required of a leading Pastor. Sadly, he ignored it. We know he will continue to grow the Church as so many don't know what they are missing in a Church leader. We believe we have now found a strong, unafraid leader in our new Church. It is a small Church, yet this Pastor is not afraid to talk the talk or offend.
