Is Shady Shoar able to buy Trump’s endorsement?
Under the Magnifying Glass: Suspicions Surrounding Trump's Inner Circle
Since 2010, former St. Johns Sheriff David Shoar has been under intense public scrutiny and media coverage. Accusations of obstruction of justice, making false statements to federal law enforcement, conspiracy and misprision of felonies, destroying and concealing government records, and an alleged cover-up of Michelle O’Connell’s homicide pepper his reputation.
David Shoar just announced his candidacy for Senate Seat in District 7, and it is well known that he is seeking President Trump’s endorsement. Rumor has it the trial lawyers are behind Shoar’s run. Obviously for them, funding is not an issue. Arguably, Trump relies on his close advisors and team to vet those seeking his backing. He must, given all the demands on his time. Is it possible that some of them are being bought off?
Endorsements to Vern Buchanan and Little Marco have gone against the grain of the Florida grassroots and leave many Trump loyalists puzzled. How in the world did they procure his support? Trump has his reasons, but lest we forget, he has made some consequential blunders in supporting the likes of feckless Bill Barr and Flimsy Lindsey.
If the Trump team endorses David Shoar, it would be a huge misstep, tarnishing the President’s reputation among District 7’s grassroots. Michelle O’Connell’s family and others have long contended she was murdered by her boyfriend, Deputy Jeremy Banks. Independent investigations, including one by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE), found inconsistencies and procedural issues in the original investigation. Reports by The New York Times and the PBS series "Frontline" also suggested possible mishandling and cover-up, highlighting conflicts of interest and potential evidence concealment.
The allegations against David Shoar are indeed serious, and they have been the subject of significant public scrutiny and media coverage. Given David Shoar’s baggage, Florida will be ill-served in the legislative battles ahead. Trump also endorsed John Rutherford, who’s left leaning congressional record voting pattern has left St. Johns Republican constituents dumbfounded. Florida’s future intertwined with Shoar’s character bodes a cloud over the sunshine state. Lest we forget, character is destiny. President Trump’s team would be well advised in paying attention to such.
Character is like a tree and reputation like its shadow. The shadow is what we think of it; the tree is the real thing.

Let us pray.
Dear God,
We humbly ask to open eyes and pierce discerning hearts within President Trump’s team. May his advisors discern where they should place their attention. We ask they not be swayed by earthly matters and political transactions, rather, may they recognize honesty and truth and guide the President appropriately.
Grant them the strength to stand firm and to act with integrity in all matters covered by their influence. May they recognize that character is a reflection of your divine love and grace.
Lord, we pray for those who are struggling with moral dilemmas or facing challenges to their integrity. May they find courage and resilience in your presence, knowing that you are always with them, guiding and supporting them along the way.
In Jesus’ holy name, we pray.
Amen.
Michelle O'Connell's family and various advocates have continued to push for a more comprehensive investigation into her death, maintaining that the initial investigation was flawed and biased. Here is a complete list of grievances reported about the former sheriff from a St. Augustine constituent:
Shore covered up his 2005 DUI wreck, in which he broke his leg in nine places, not wearing a seatbelt. This is apparently what led to Shoar's alleged addiction to opioid pain pills.

These accusations against Shoar highlight broader concerns about accountability and transparency within law enforcement agencies, particularly when the actions of their own members are under scrutiny.
