When you enter the fight, one of the silver linings (perhaps the only enjoyable one) are the wonderful new friends we meet. CS Bennet is one of the good guys. He is a decorated Desert Shield/Desert Storm veteran having served on both the USS Nimitz and the USS Saratoga. CS is a prolific author, national columnist and talk radio show co-host. Here is one of his essays that I want to share with you, reprinted with his permission.
On Disney
It started with a dream, a dream by an industrial American who wanted to bring clean and exciting entertainment to the families of his fellow Americans. It was not easy, but this man remained true to his dream and prevailed. Almost single-handedly, he guided this risky dream until it became a reality and achieved profitability. As long as he reigned over this wholesome entertainment empire, it expanded and prospered, and people the world over flocked to it in droves. I am talking millions and millions of people. And then, before we knew what hit us, the very man who brought this wonderful world of imagination to us, took his last breath and was gone. His name was Walter Elias Disney, or Walt Disney, as we had come to know him. Unfortunately, his family-oriented world of entertainment was placed in the hands of left-wing bias Hollywood elites who, over the decades, destroyed this once beautiful gem Walt, and his famous mouse, Mickey, built. They defiled it, devalued it, and perverted this once wholesome family brand. And in the process, they angered those who once thought highly of Walt’s three major creations: Disneyland, Disney World, and his Disney movies. The straw that broke the camel’s back, for the company, was something called the “Woke Movement.” The question remains, will this company ever come back? Will it ever return to its golden days? It is possible, I believe, but only under a different form of leadership. Right now, it does not look good for this once world-famous entertainment conglomerate. What once glittered like gold is now tarnished beyond recognition.
On The United States
It began with the dissatisfaction of American subjects being just another country beholding to the British Empire and being heavily taxed without representation. Taking their lives and future into their own hands, the thirteen colonies rebelled against the crown and Americans stood up to the mightiest world power of their time and fought a war that became infamously known as the Revolutionary War. The colonies were led by a group known as the founding fathers, all of them who risked being hanged as traitors to the motherland if their revolution failed. By the colony, they gathered in the fine city of Philadelphia and went to work on the Declaration of Independence, which was followed years later by the United States Constitution, and the Bill of Rights. After that, they were no longer British subjects. They were citizens of the United States of America.
Unfortunately, there was a political mindset that has always been on the wrong side of history from the onset of this republic and at the core of this mindset was something called Progressivism, which was quickly followed by socialism, with the end-goal being communism. As a veteran, I fought against all forms of tyranny abroad. Now we are faced with it here. As we know, whenever the left took over the country's leadership, their policies always seemed to take this republic two steps backwards. Everything they seemed to touch, denied us our freedoms and deprived us of our liberties. Don’t see it for what it is, yet? Just look at the major cities run for decades by democrats and their failed policies. For that matter, just look at the city that gave birth to our Declaration of Independence and our United States Constitution, Philadelphia. Life there is nothing short of living in war-torn Beirut, Lebanon in the 80s. That’s how bad it’s gotten to be in the city that was our nation's Capital city for ten years. Let that sink in. Philadelphia was a city that once stood as a symbol of liberty and freedom, and is now a living hellhole, thanks to the policies of the left, the left-leaning news networks, the elite in corporate America and Hollywood, globalists, and their republican lite good boy/girl network allies…
On Donald Trump
Love him or hate him, look at what the left has been doing to the former president. This is a billionaire who was once the most powerful head of state in the world, as President of the United States. Look at how they have tried their best to put this man six feet under politically speaking and as a businessman. If they could do this to him, what chance do you have if they decided to turn their anger towards you? This is why those who do not understand the appeal of Trump, or why he seems to outfox his enemies at every step, just don’t get that he represents the average American voter who doesn’t have a voice, but they do have a vote, as proven in the Iowa Caucus yesterday. Not to my surprise, several major left-wing bias news networks decided not to show Trump’s Iowa victory speech to their audience. In my eyes, they do not want their audience finding out just how much of a patriot this man is and how much he is looking out for all of us, not just conservatives and libertarians, but for the country. Honestly, I don’t think they want to lose any more voters to the conservative side. I agree that their voters are disenfranchised. They are the products of left-wing indoctrination and that’s the only voice they know. But that’s all right. As the weeks goes by, all of America will finally hear the voices of justified disgruntled voters and patriots all across the fruited plains. Then they will know, if not already, that the fringe-left has gone way too far and that their hold on power is coming to a dramatic end. It cannot happen soon enough for this voter and patriot…
To think that left-wing protesters are threatening to overrun the grounds of the White House because they are pro-Hamas and are blaming the Biden Administration of killing innocent women and children. This is the same crowd who have no problem slaughtering unborn children. Then on top of that, you have left-leaning federal workers talking about walking off the job, which is not allowed and those who do so can be criminally charged with a statute of limitation of 5 years, meaning that the next president can bring them to justice if the present passes on it.
The moral of this piece is this; we patriots, on the right side of history, are on the march and baby, there’s no stopping us now. You folks on the left, and you RINOs on the right, have had your freehand in destroying our economy, our borders, our military, our once majestic cities, our schools, our energy sector, our once proud institutions and our values and traditions. You malcontents are also destroying the future for our children and grandchildren. To this I say, your days of pushing the slaughter of the unborn innocent, the LGBTQ agenda, racial strife, class envy, and this Woke Movement, are just about over. Know that this is a battle of good versus evil. And might I add that good has a great track record of triumphing over evil. Thankfully, for our republic’s sake, you have awakened a sleeping giant, that giant being the average, and not so average, American citizen. It is the biggest mistake you could have made. For the patriots who are leading this charge, it’s time to let freedom ring again. It’s time to lift every voice and sing. And it’s time to unite and reclaim our republic. Rise all of America! Know that from sea to shiny sea, God sheds His Grace on thee!
Thank you for this. I'm glad you led off with Walt Disney, bc for many of us, Disney was our starting point. What child was not utterly enthralled with The Wonderful World of Magic? What child didn't dream of some day going to Disneyland? Who can even remember when they became aware of Disney? The magic was always there. To see it's magic be destroyed and defiled by the current deviants in charge, is beyond unforgivable. It was symbolic of America's loss of innocence. Then to remind us of those courageous revolutionaries who gave their all against impossible odds, was beautiful. Rolling on into our current situation, it's good to be reminded of their courage and sacrifice to form this imperfect union, with all it's freedoms and flaws. The very least we can do is not allow it to fall back into the hands of those who want to reclaim their tyranny. We need to return the reins to Donald Trump, regardless of our personal "feelings".
