I've hesitated to cover this subject because there are much better sources, and it is very complicated. However, when my teen showed interest regarding the conflict, and I attempted to explain, I realized we must lay several questions on the table. In addition, I just returned from listening to President Trump, so this essay is more about raising eyebrows than coming to conclusions.
To begin, the eve of October 7th was supposed to be one of the most festive nights in the Jewish calendar, celebrating the end of the Torah reading cycle. Some would be sleeping; others would be out celebrating one of the happiest days of the Feast of Tabernacles. All were surprised by the attack on 50 military border outposts.
Israel, a country with the best defense system, possibly the most technologically advanced weaponry, and arguably the deadliest intelligence in the world, was neutralized by Hamas terrorists. Upon subduing the outposts, they opened the fence and invaded with vehicles and motorcycles. At least 1000 terrorists infiltrated Israel, totally catching all by surprise, including the soldiers. Nearly 100 Israelis were abducted into the Gaza strip and paraded along the main road while the world watched the spectacle in horror.
Notably, during those early hours, Israeli citizens had to rely on reports circulated amongst themselves for news because their own media was being censored. In fact, the information flowed from ground zero to friends outside of Israel who then blasted it back to those in other parts of the country. Israel is politically unstable and deeply divided by the corruption within its political system and the use of public funds for the WEF agenda: vaccines, climate change, central bank digital currency, and judicial reforms.
Enter Iran, a staunch supporter of Hamas in their fight against Israel. Senior members of Hamas and Hezbollah claim that Iranian security helped plan the attacks and gave the green light for the assault last Monday at a meeting in Beirut. They stated that officers of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard had worked with Hamas to devise the air, land, and sea incursions since August. This was corroborated by a senior European official, an advisor to the government of Syria, and intelligence officers in Egypt. Naturally, Iranian leaders are denying any involvement. Seriously, why would they? Never mind that Iran is months away from its own nuclear device.
Predictably, Israel declared war, and the US Congress was lightning-ready to provide funding for yet another conflict. As an inconvenient truth in 2021, this administration unfroze $360 million and began sending it to Palestine. They send billions every year to Israel for military aid, and as a coup de grace, they just unfroze 6 billion dollars of cash for Iran, releasing it on 9/11. Both the people of Israel and the Palestinians will suffer; they have been sold out by those who profit from this conflict. Indeed, war is a racket. Does anyone wonder why America is so despised by these war-torn countries? We are funding every aspect and all sides.
All wars are follies, very expensive and very mischievous ones.
Benjamin Franklin
In a very strange way, Israel’s Iron Dome did not provide the expected protection, missing many rockets while several targets were hit. Hamas claims it “neutralized” the Iron Dome. How in the world does that get hacked, and would a bunch of terrorists have such capabilities? Or is this the work of a nation-state? Which one?
Ground reports indicate that US weapons are showing up in the hands of Hamas terrorists. In fact, those weapons appear to trace back to what this administration left in Afghanistan after that shameful withdrawal. We are on the brink of a war of biblical proportions, and there is a doddering puppet posing as the leader of the free world. Who is pulling the strings? Speaking of which, since the Obama years, thousands of Muslims have entered the country and could very well be positioned to strike from within. Meanwhile, this administration has opened the border, flooding the US with unvetted men of military age coming in by the hundreds of thousands.
As if the conflict overseas was not alarming enough, a few hours ago Khaled Mashal, a former Hamas leader and founding member, called for a global uprising on Friday, October 13. He asked for Muslims to sacrifice and carry Jihad, including the willingness to offer blood and souls to advance the Palestinian cause. If all hell breaks loose in our cities, please make sure to thank your friends who voted for Biden. Obviously, four years without a new war was just not enough of an incentive to tolerate the orange man with the mean tweets.
War solves many problems: it distracts, it depopulates, it enriches, it provides a cover story for the failure of the financial system, defunding of pension plans, insane printing of money, or the impeachment of a crook and his family. Gone are the Israeli-Saudi Arabia peace talks. What should have been a historic peace accord in the making is now a rapidly fading aspiration on the 50th anniversary of the bloody Yom Kippur war. Is this clearly coordinated attack a coincidence?
As the support for Ukraine dwindles, and the public tolerance for that funding is flickering, those who profit from the war machine will eagerly support a new conflict because war is necessary for the existence, profitability, and ability to hide the transactions of the military-industrial complex. Black box spending, money laundering, arms deals, and more nefarious transactions documented in the Panama, Pandora, and Paradise papers have yet to be fully examined. Will that accountability ever come to light? With a distracted world focusing its attention on the next crisis, who will ever question that morass and bring to light the truth?
As a final observation, I had the privilege of listening to the real President tonight. He recounted a never-before-told story about the 2020 strike against General Qasem Soleimani, commander of a division of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Intelligence reports indicated many US targets worldwide were at risk. At the last minute, Israel pulled out of the mission with Netanyahu as the Prime Minister. Despite this setback, Trump authorized, and the U.S. proceeded with a drone strike in Baghdad, Iraq. The operation was executed with great precision and success. What was notable about this story was that POTUS revealed that Bibi tried to take credit even though he had withdrawn Israel’s participation … Was Trump dropping a comm about Netanyahu? What would that be in the context of what is now happening on the world stage?
Clearly, each aspect of this conflict deserves a more profound understanding as our minds try to sort out who is “good” and who is not. It is human nature to seek polarity as a response to a threat but, as I explained to my son, trust nothing, ask questions, verify, and accumulate knowledge. The complexity of this situation is akin to a Monkey’s Fist, a tightly wound, heavy knot that has been in the making for centuries, if not millennia. The biggest question I have is, are we at the verge of Ezekiel 37 coming to pass?
PS: The real POTUS looked healthy, vigorous, and quite frankly, phenomenal.

Oh Lord,
Comfort all whom are victims of this terrible conflict. Protect the innocent and pierce the hearts of those who would perpetrate acts of senseless evil. May those who can provide a peaceful solution be converted while the intentions of those who serve the Enemy be obfuscated.
We give thanks for Your Word, which comes to life in incredible ways and brings comfort to our confused souls. We are grateful for the prophetic warnings that allow us to prepare for what is to come. Holy Spirit, help us to gird our loins with truth, to guard our hearts with righteousness, and to guide our feet with the gospel so that we may tread the right path.
May our faith provide both defense and offense to our bodies, and may our heads be covered by the promise of salvation. Grant us the courage to speak about the eternal love and glory of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Amen
