A red wedding
It's the economy, stupid. Instead of shattering the glass ceiling, the DNC fell off the glass cliff. Where is the party headed?
Mom, what is going to happen to the Democratic Party?
This was my 17-year-old’s question a few days ago. Unable to vote but deeply aware of what was at stake for his future, he stayed up all night on November 5th. As the results have rolled in and the fallout became clear, his question echoes the conclusion we are all wondering.
"There is not a thing that comes to mind in terms of — and I’ve been a part of most of the decisions that have had impact." Vice President Kamala Harris's response when asked on The View whether she would do anything differently than Biden over the past four years.
My teenager can’t imagine how anyone voted for Harris. He eloquently pointed out (yep, I’m that proud mom), that she distanced herself from the Biden administration while offering no original policy solutions to address critical issues like the economy, inflation, jobs, border security, or the funding of foreign wars.
Who Remains?
The rabid left—a vocal minority composed of the blue-haired, gender-confused, or climate-obsessed factions—continues to dominate the Democratic National Committee (DNC). But the DNC cannot survive on this small yet noisy slice of the electorate. Meanwhile, other slices of the pie are turning away. Harris, for instance, lost support among Arab and Muslim voters.
Women voters, once a key pillar of Harris’s coalition, also turned out in smaller numbers compared to Biden’s election. The reason? Abortion rights, as a rallying cry, does not rank highly when people are struggling to put food on the table and keep the lights on.
What About Moderate Democrats?
Moderate Democrats—doctors, nurses, and white-collar workers—could be a dwindling group. These individuals, are captured by the mainstream media and are fed soundbites like:
“The hoard of illegal immigrants poses no danger to America.”
But anyone paying attention to alternative media knows otherwise. Stories like Laken Riley’s tragedy and other crimes committed by unvetted immigrants are buried by mainstream outlets. Instead, the media propagates the narrative that: “Republicans hate immigrants.” Never mind that the future First Lady is an immigrant herself or that Usha Vance, wife of J.D. Vance, is the daughter of Indian immigrants.
This cohort doesn’t always have the time or inclination to dig deeper. If outlets like MSNBC (currently rumored to be on the chopping block), ABC, CNN, and CBS provided honest reporting or continue to lose viewership, these voters may start shifting their party affiliation.
Who Shifted?
Black men in Gen X and younger cohorts are breaking away. Unburdened by the Civil Rights-era reverence for the Democratic Party, they’ve grown disillusioned—especially after Obama’s dismissive tone toward them and the worsening economic realities. Some even speculate that Barack Obama is pulling the strings behind the scenes, contributing to the nation’s decline.
Who Is Wondering?
Big donors investing in the DNC to further their own agendas are undoubtedly asking hard questions. Did we just pay a million dollars to Oprah’s company? Have we padded Beyonce and Taylor Swift’s already-fat accounts? $3 million to Eminem? Have we been had?
The DNC assured its donors of victory but must have known, at some point, that Kamala’s run was a lost cause. Were internal polls riddled with incompetence, or were they massaged to keep funds flowing? James Murdoch (of Fox), for example, contributed $9 million to Democrats and zero to Republicans. For what? To walk off a glass cliff? Bloomberg and others poured billions into the DNC—money that could have revitalized entire Latin American economies—only to lose historically, profoundly, and embarrassingly. Zero ROI.
Who is the leader?
A party needs a leader, but who is that for the Democrats? Is it Kamala Harris, the unpopular loser? Barack Obama, who speaks down to Black men from his perch in Martha’s Vineyard? Hillary Clinton, trailing a history of failures, scandals, and “suicides”? French Laundry Newsom, loathed outside of California? Tipsy Pelosi, who many see as corrupt, or Pocahantas, whose appeal has faded? The party is nearly headless. Perhaps the only figure capable of breathing new life into it is Pennsylvania’s Josh Shapiro.
The Populist Shift
Meanwhile, a significant populist shift has reshaped the political landscape. Hispanics, Asians, and cultural minorities who prioritize family as the nucleus of society are increasingly voting Republican. Country-club Republicans should take note: Trump’s populist mandate is the future. Align with it—or face irrelevance.

Father in Heaven,
We witness with awe the unfolding of Your divine plan, even amidst uncertainty and challenge. We thank You for the rising tide of clarity and discernment among Your people, as citizens of all backgrounds awaken to the value of truth, unity, and accountability.
Guide leaders of integrity to step boldly into the void left by the broken promises of the past. We pray for wisdom over those questioning alliances, motives, and actions that do not serve the good of Your creation. Strengthen the hearts of those who value freedom, family, and faith, that they may persevere in their quest for righteousness.
Lord, expose the deceit, greed, and arrogance of those who profit at the expense of others. May the hands of the just rise to rebuild, and may communities heal from division and disillusionment. Let every step taken by the righteous bring Your kingdom closer to this weary land.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
Amen.
