I too felt the call, and was there (albeit by myself). Your description closely matches my experience, though I also recall a somberness during the walk to the Capitol, as I could hear people starting to say that Pence was not going to support us, and so realized that the coup would be consummated. (I couldn't get a cell signal, so had no information myself.) Still, we walked on. Peacefully.

As I knew I was witnessing history, I did go by the Capitol building, to observe and capture photos and video. I was SHOCKED that there were no barricades around the building, nor police lines, nor police with bullhorns telling people, e.g., "do not pass this point."

Probably fatigue being a factor, the idea of a setup or false-flag did not occur to me. What did occur to me was that the police would soon order everyone to leave; so I decided to follow the crowd around to the front of the building (facing the Mall) to try to get photos from that elevated position of just how massive the crowd was. My plan was to grab some photos/video, and leave as soon as the police so ordered (if not before).

I did see obvious Antifa in the crowd (which I was looking for), and what (in hindsight) I realize were probably FBI operatives (including one who was actually egging-on the crowd). I also saw some (I assume) Antifa up on one of those electric utility platforms that construction folks use as mobile skaffolding (I wondered how they got the keys, cough cough). They were smashing a window on the Capitol building.

I was never near an open entrance, and didn't know that people were inside the building until I got back to my hotel that evening and saw it on the news (watching very hungry, as a curfew was called and no food vendor was open). When there, it never occurred to me that the Capitol Police would let people into the building en masse, which one would assume would be more secure than, say, your average airline gate.

After taking some photos I could feel the vibe getting uglier, and departed at approximately 3:00 p.m. Had to walk several blocks to get to a Metro station, as the one I'd come in on was closed due to the pipe bomb scare.

I was super-depressed, as I knew that the coup d'etat had succeeded, and had to involve elements of our government, as the "intelligence community" and FBI had to be clearly involved. (What else could explain why they were not on top of the obvious election fraud????)

I began to say prayed (and do to this day) asking God to hear our prayers, to give our country yet one more chance, and to deliver us from the evil of Collectivism that has seized control of our Divinely-inspired nation.

Driving home the next day, I started listening to talk radio (initially David Webb on Sirius). It became immediately clear that talk radio hosts were controlled opposition, as they wouldn't touch the fraud, much less the coup d'etat (later confirmed when Salem publicly announced that hosts that broached the subject would be fired). More insult to injury; but perhaps for the good - I switched to Christian music and listened to that while saying prayers on the drive home. (I haven't listened to talk radio since ... we could have used Rush Limbaugh, as I'm sure he would have remained stalwart.)

You all know what has transpired since.

My post-J6 morning prayer (excerpt):

Please deliver this country from the Satanic evil of Collectivism that has seized control of it;

Please let those responsible be identified and brought to justice;

In turn, please let the resulting revelations cause the scales fall from tens of millions of our fellow-citizens' eyes;

And in turn, please let that be the catalyst for a new Great Awakening, in this land, and across the globe ...
