Well done to you for getting so many to sign on. I believe the majority of people in FL see the importance of fair and transparent elections. It's a very bad sign that the majority of govt officials don't want election security.
I am extremely disappointed in DeSantis and am not surprised he requested this bill. He appointed Sec of State Lee who opposed forensic audits of 2020. Despite all the evidence of machine failures nationwide, he approves of Dominion or ES&S machines in all FL counties. Despite evidence that Chris Gleason (Immutable Truth) has brought him on vote by mail schemes in FL, DeSantis and our current Sec of State Byrd choose to do nothing. This year DeSantis held a roundtable of lawyers during which he praised Libby Locke who represents Dominion Voting Machines against Lindell and other conservatives. He called her an "extraordinaire when it comes to first amendment defamation." He supports HB 991 which would make it easier to sue the press for defamation.
I hope your letter forces him to change his ways and protect our elections.
DeSantis has shown his colors enough for me not to support him for any office other than gov. And in 2028 I hope I politics culture is so much better I won’t have to vote for Ron. He is fooling nobody
